God's Kingdom is in your heart

In this Sunday Mass homily at Saint Michael Kalibo, +Bp. Romie-Jun Peñalosa emphasized that God's Kingdom is in our hearts. To understand God's Word, we need His wisdom. While knowledge allows us to understand things intellectually, wisdom enables us to live according to God's will. Through wisdom, we recognize His Kingdom beyond human understanding and choose what is right over what is wrong. In today's Gospel, Bishop Romie highlighted four important truths about God's Kingdom. First, God's Kingdom is hidden. We must be willing to pay the price by digging deep into our hearts through prayer and by seeking the Kingdom that already dwells within us. Second, God's Kingdom is priceless. It is far more valuable than anything this world can offer, making every earthly possession insignificant in comparison. Third, God's Kingdom is life-changing. It becomes our driving force, inspiring us to move forward each day and grow closer to God. Finally, God's Kingdom requires an immediate response. We must not delay our decision to seek it. Although many may appear to belong to the Kingdom, not everyone truly lives according to it. Therefore, we should respond to God's call with urgency and commitment. Make God's Kingdom in our hearts your highest priority. When we seek His Kingdom first, everything else in our lives falls into its proper place.
